David Cooper, a shareholder, has been practicing law since 1986. He joined KKG as a shareholder in 1996. In 2001, David was included in the Best Lawyers in America Consumer Guide. In 2006, he was included in The Best of United States, Inc. (Best of US.Com). David's practice focuses not only on civil trial/appellate litigation, but also on real estate and business transactions. He has been retained by publically and privately held corporations alike.
David handles all types of civil litigation in both state and federal courts, and has experience handling disputes in a broad variety of areas, including: real estate; business torts; construction; breaches of contract; corporate break-ups; domestic relations; employment; intellectual property infringement; leasing; personal injuries; probate; professional malpractice; shareholder and partnership disagreements; tax appeals; and zoning issues. His transactional experience is also broad-based, and includes the negotiation and drafting of documents for licensing and distribution arrangements; stock and asset sales; mergers and acquisitions; intellectual property licensing; land acquisition and development; construction contracts; professional services agreements (e.g., architecture, medical, etc.); and employment agreements.
David is a native Atlantan. He is married and has two children. His outside interests include travel, music (guitar, saxophone) and swimming. He serves as a director and member of various community organizations. |
