Biography

Steve Kern, a shareholder of KKG, was born and grew up in the Boston area. He attended Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with high honors. He graduated in 1981 from Duke University's School of Law. Steve has over 29 years of experience as a civil litigator, representing clients in their disputes in state and federal courts and in all forums - litigation, mediation and arbitration. As part of his litigation practice, Steve handles a myriad of litigation matters involving real estate, commercial leases, business torts, restrictive covenants, construction disputes, contracts and probate matters. Formerly an insurance defense litigator, he also represents clients in personal injury matters and insurance coverage disputes, including liability insurance, E&O coverage issues and disability insurance. He has been appointed in several cases to serve as a guardian ad litem through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer Foundation to represent the best interests of children in custody disputes.

In his leisure time, Steve enjoys tennis, attending various sporting events, fine dining and travel.
